Housing Advice and Homeless Prevention Officer

The Role We are seeking an experienced Housing Advice and Homeless Prevention Officer for our client''s Rough Sleepers Team. You''ll complete assessments, carry out prevention and relief work, and manage a varied caseload in this fast-paced environment. Location: Uxbridge Rate: 21.00 per hour (Inside IR35/PAYE) Duration: 3 months Hours: 36.2 hours per week (9am-5pm) Sector: Local Authority Key Responsibilities Complete homelessness assessments and statutory duties under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 Carry out prevention and relief work for rough sleepers Manage varied caseload with competing priorities Draft s184 decision letters and conduct homelessness enquiries Multi-agency working with support services and external partners Essential Requirements Minimum 2+ years proven experience in Housing Options/Homelessness services Strong knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act Practical experience conducting homelessness enquiries and casework Ability to draft s184 decision letters Demonstrated experience delivering in pressurised Housing services Enhanced DBS clearance required Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work and client visits borough-wide What''s On Offer 21.00 per hour (Inside IR35/PAYE) 3+ month contract with immediate start 36.2 hours per week (9am-5pm) Flexible working arrangements (50% office-based after 2-4 week induction) Opportunity to make a real impact on rough sleeping Interviewing immediately - Apply now with your C
