All kinds of extraordinary, for all kinds of people.What you''ll be doingA driven and hands-on Financial Accountant with experience of statutory and consolidated group reporting for multiple entities under IFRS. Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, you will work as part of the three-person Group Reporting team to deliver quality, accurate financial reporting. You must be able to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines effectively.The Financial Accountant will support the Group Reporting Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated results, take a leading role during the statutory accounts process.The role will also be responsible for the group capital expenditure process giving insight into the business plans and strategy for our portfolio of hotels. They will also take ownership of the annual control exercises around fixed assets, including a group-wide asset register review. It is therefore important that the individual has strong communication skills and experience of working with senior stakeholders, and also the desire for process improvement.You will demonstrate a history of driving best practice and a passion for continuous improvement to support the Group Reporting Manager in delivering not only an industry leading financial reporting and control environment, but also a central finance function that both partners with and supports the business. They must be a proactive, self-starter with the energy and enthusiasm to strive for success.Start to finish management of the statutory accounts process for the 21 Group entities, including preparation of the accounts, in depth planning and tracking of status, managing internal and external review process and organising director sign-offCompletion of the annual intercompany cleardown exercise, where the intercompany balances throughout the group are settled via various dividend and capital injection transactionsSupport preparation of quarterly consolidated reporting to the parent company and bank, including consolidated balance sheets and cashflowsResponsible for the day to day management of the capital expenditure processOwnership and monitoring of the groups IFRS 16 model and processing remeasurements as requiredSupport preparation of monthly management pack for parent company and bankSupport with month end process, including processing of manual journalsPreparation of balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentationEnsure Group Accounting Policy is adhered toSupport implementation of, and compliance with, robust financial controlsAd hoc technical accounting and project work as requiredWhat you''ll bringACA qualified (or equivalent) with audit firm experienceExperience preparing financial statements under IFRSStrong IT Skills, including MS Excel (advanced)Hospitality and Leisure experience desirable but not essential
