This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, manufacturing high-quality aerospace components using a variety of fabrication techniques and specialist machinery. Key Responsibilities for the Sheet Metal Fabricator: Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, ideally within the aerospace or automotive industry. Interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications, working independently to produce high-quality components. Operate a range of fabrication machinery including brake press, Promecam, rubber press, guillotine and band saws. Set up and operate fabrication equipment to cut, bend and shape metal components. Measure, mark out and prepare materials using rulers, squares, scribes, dividers and other measuring equipment. Inspect parts, assemblies and completed components to ensure they meet engineering drawings and quality specifications. Carry out general sheet metal duties including deburring, drilling, fly press operations and calculating bend allowances.
