Fire & Security Service Engineer - Hertfordshire

Salary: -35,000 - -43,000 basic

A well-established and growing Fire and Security company is looking for a Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their team, covering Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Around 90% of the work will be across Hertfordshire, making this a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a localised patch with minimal travel further afield.

The role will involve servicing, maintenance, fault finding and small works across a range of fire and security systems. You don''t need to be experienced across every system, as training will be provided to help develop your knowledge and broaden your skill set.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive service work across a range of commercial and other sites, ensuring systems are maintained and operating correctly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
• Fault finding and diagnosing system issues
• Carrying out remedial works and small installations where required
• Working on systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
• Completing service reports and relevant site documentation
• Liaising with customers and site contacts in a professional manner
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Participating in an on-call rota of 1 week in every 8

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the Fire and Security industry and be confident carrying out service and maintenance work.

You don''t need to be able to work on every type of system. If you have a strong background in one area and are keen to develop across others, full training can be provided.

You should have:

• Previous experience working with fire and/or security systems
• Service, maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A professional and reliable approach
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence
