Learning support assistant

Key Responsibilities:Support students with learning, both individually and in small groupsAssist teachers in delivering lessons and preparing learning materialsHelp manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagementSupport children with SEN, additional learning needs, or specific interventionsSupervise students during activities, breaks, and exam situationsMaintain accurate records and contribute to progress monitoringSkills and Qualities:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting childrenAbility to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staffOrganised, reliable, and proactive in supporting learning needsExperience working with children is desirable but not essential; training will be providedQualifications:Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)QTS or relevant education/childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
