We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our London pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, accuracy checking and distribution of aesthetic and pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate should be organized, have a strong attention to detail, and be capable of working in a compliant process driven environment.Requirements (essential)
Previous experience in a pharmacy environmentFamiliarity with inventory management systems.Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy loadsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication.Teamwork and collaboration skills.Adherence to health and safety guidelines.Secondary school examinations or equivalent.Desirable requirements
Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and storage requirements is an asset.NVQ 2 QualifiedACT/ ACDA qualified.Familiarity with Human Medicines Regulations 2012 and EU GDP Guidelines (2013/C 343/01)Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming product shipmentsEnsure all items match the accompanying documentationReport any discrepancies or damages to the relevant internal stakeholdersSafely and securely store pharmaceutical products in designated areasMaintain accurate inventory records using computerized systemsMonitor expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stockAccurately pick and pack orders for delivery to various locationsPrepare pharmaceutical products for shipment in compliance with regulationsProvide final accuracy check of dispensed medicinesConduct regular quality checks on stored and shipped productsFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain product integrityAdhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environmentFollow proper procedures for handling hazardous materialsWork closely with other team members to coordinate workflowCommunicate effectively with pharmacists, delivery personnel, and other relevant stakeholdersBenefits
