We are looking for passionate and dedicated Mentors to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young people across Bournemouth. This role is all about empowering young people to build confidence, re-engage in education, and develop positive, trusting relationships with adults.You will work with children and young people aged 4 to 18, many of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, have experienced Permanent Exclusion (PEX), Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), or have other complex additional needs.As a Mentor, you will:Provide one-to-one or small group mentoring sessions.Support young people to develop confidence and resilience.Help them re-engage with education and learning opportunities.Build and maintain positive, supportive relationships.Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals.About you:Experience working with children or young people.Understanding of SEN, SEMH, and related needs.Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.Ability to motivate and inspire young people.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Position -MentorContract or position start date - ASAPContract or position end date (if applicable) - N/AFull time/part-time - VariedHours - Various/ flexible hoursEssential and Desirable Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young peopleExperience of working with learners with SENTo be eligible for this rol
