Rate: -837 per day via umbrella
Responsible for co-leading a portfolio of complex, enterprise-wide technology transformation programmes from mobilisation through delivery, adoption and value realisation. The role will connect business strategy, technology delivery and organisational change, providing the leadership, governance and programme discipline required to deliver sustainable outcomes across multiple functions and technology domains.
Activities include:
Enterprise Programme Leadership and Governance
- Design and lead programme governance, reporting and decision-making forums spanning multiple technology domains and business functions. Establish clear accountabilities, decision rights, escalation routes and delivery controls, ensuring leaders have an accurate view of progress, risks, dependencies, financial performance and outcomes.
- Own and maintain integrated programme plans, budgets, resource forecasts, milestone roadmaps and dependency maps across technology workstreams. Use robust programme controls to monitor delivery performance, identify variance and drive timely corrective action.
- Partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, HR, Finance, Procurement and other enabling functions to align end-to-end plans, resource requirements, organisational impacts and financial assumptions, ensuring delivery remains connected to business outcomes and value realisation.
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, presenting complex programme information in a clear, concise and decision-oriented way. Facilitate alignment on priorities, trade-offs, investment choices and escalations, constructively challenging where required to protect programme outcomes.
- Co-lead a cross-functional matrixed programme team. Create clarity of purpose, roles and accountabilities; build an inclusive, high-performing team environment; and resolve delivery barriers across organisational boundaries.
Technical Skills
- Strong, demonstrable experience leading large-scale global technology and organisational transformation programmes.
- Proven ability to manage senior executive stakeholders and communicate complex programme information clearly and confidently.
- Ability to own the programme plan, assess delivery progress, identify dependencies and common issues, overcome bottlenecks and drive delivery leads towards agreed outcomes.
Experience, Skillset & Qualifications
- Approximately 3-5+ years of relevant experience delivering large-scale, global transformation programmes at a senior level.
- Recent, hands-on transformation programme leadership experience is important. Candidates whose relevant experience is no longer current would not be suitable.
- MSP, PRINCE2 and PMP certifications are not essential. Relevant delivery experience takes priority over formal certifications.
- Candidates must demonstrate that they have personally driven complex programmes forward across multiple workstreams, rather than primarily coordinating activities or reporting progress.
- Consultancy experience would be particularly attractive and would make a candidate stand out significantly.
