Job Purpose To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents within care home settings, promoting their dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing. Agency Care Assistants are expected to deliver compassionate care, follow care home policies and procedures, and maintain professional standards at all times. Key Responsibilities Personal Care and Support Assist residents with washing, bathing, showering and dressing. Support residents with toileting and continence care. Assist with mobility, repositioning and safe moving and handling. Support residents with eating and drinking, including monitoring nutritional intake. Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming. Encourage independence and promote individual choice. Provide care in accordance with residents individual care plans. Resident Wellbeing Treat all residents with dignity, respect and compassion. Provide emotional support and companionship. Support residents living with dementia and other cognitive conditions. Encourage participation in activities and social interaction. Recognise and report any changes in residents physical or mental wellbeing. Respect residents privacy, confidentiality and personal preferences. Health and Safety Follow infection prevention and control procedures. Maintain a clean, safe and tidy environment.
