We Do Social Work is recruiting an experienced Educational Psychologist to join a forward-thinking local authority committed to improving outcomes for children and young people aged 0–25.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Educational Psychologist who enjoys working collaboratively with families, schools and multi-agency professionals to make a lasting difference in children's lives. The Role

As an Educational Psychologist, you will use psychological theory, research and evidence-based practice to support children and young people with a wide range of learning, behavioural, emotional and developmental needs.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality psychological assessments for children and young people aged 0–25.
  • Producing clear, evidence-based advice to support Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessments and Annual Reviews.
  • Working closely with families, schools, colleges and partner agencies to develop effective interventions and improve outcomes.
  • Supporting inclusive practice across educational settings through consultation, advice and training.
  • Contributing to early intervention and preventative work that enables children and young people to thrive.
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
  • Maintaining professional standards while contributing to service development and continuous improvement.
About You

We're looking for an Educational Psychologist who has:

  • A Doctorate in Educational Psychology (or recognised equivalent).
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience writing high-quality psychological assessments and statutory advice.
  • A strong understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication, consultation and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • The ability to work independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team.
