Year 3 Primary Teacher

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and inspiring Year 3 Primary Teacher to join our vibrant and nurturing school community in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to a Year 3 class, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress and feel supported in their development.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum

Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning

Assess, track and report on pupil progress regularly, using formative and summative assessment methods
-
Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff and leadership to plan effective teaching strategies
-
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture
-
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development
-
Communicate effectively with parents, carers and outside agencies as required
-
Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, INSET, and extracurricular activities
Person Specification
Essential:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching at Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred, but not essential)

Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum
-
Ability to motivate and inspire young learners
-
Excellent classroom management skills
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development
Desirable:
-
Experience with phonics, maths mastery or other relevant schemes

Evidence of strong pupil progress under your teaching

Experience working in a diverse school setting
