Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a September start.

This role is ideal for a passionate science specialist who enjoys engaging students in practical and theoretical learning and is dedicated to helping pupils develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts.

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils and supporting strong academic progress.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging science lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (specialism considered)
• Preparing students for assessments and GCSE Science
• Delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Working collaboratively within the science department and wider school team
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Secondary Science (KS3 and/or KS4)
  (ECTs welcome with relevant science placements)
• Strong subject knowledge in at least one science discipline
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• An enthusiastic, organised, and engaging teaching style
• Availability to start in September
• Ability to commute to Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire
