Senior Accountant

Ready to take the next step in your accountancy career? We’re delighted to be supporting an established accountancy practice in Worcester with the appointment of a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of a portfolio, build strong client relationships and develop your technical and commercial experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and building strong working relationships

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of businesses

• Supporting clients with personal and business tax compliance and advisory matters

• Providing commercial advice and identifying opportunities to support clients’ wider business objectives

• Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing guidance and support

• Delegating work where appropriate and helping to develop more junior members of the team

• Managing your own portfolio and ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

• Working closely with partners and colleagues to deliver a high-quality service to clients

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail

• Confident communicating with clients and building strong professional relationships

• Commercially aware with the ability to understand and respond to clients’ needs

• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• A proactive approach with a genuine desire to progress your career
