We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Cover Manager to coordinate daily staff cover arrangements and ensure continuity of learning across the school. This is a key operational role requiring excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and organise daily cover for absent teaching staff, including liaising with supply agencies and internal staff.
• Maintain accurate records of staff absence and cover arrangements.
• Ensure cover work is prepared and distributed appropriately.
• Support the smooth running of the school day by responding to cover needs promptly.
• Liaise with senior leaders, HR, and teaching staff to ensure effective deployment of cover supervisors and supply staff.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cover provision.

Essential Requirements:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency in using management information systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

• Experience coordinating staff or managing rotas.
• Understanding of safeguarding and school operations.
