My Midlands based client are looking for a Group Health & Safety Manager to join the company on a full time & permanent basis. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who can influence at all levels, promote a positive safety culture and ensure the highest standards of compliance and best practice.

You’ll be responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of Health & Safety across all areas of the business, ensuring consistent standards, policies, procedures and safe working practices are implemented and maintained. 

Duties: -

• Lead and develop the Group Health & Safety strategy
  Drive continuous improvement across multiple sites and operations
  
  
• Set Health & Safety standards, objectives and KPIs and monitor performance against them. 
  
  
• Manage and develop the Health & Safety team
  Lead investigations, audits, risk assessments and compliance activities
  Partner with senior leadership, operational teams and key stakeholders
  
  
• Chair Health & Safety meetings and oversee action plans 
  
  
• Build effective relationships with Directors, managers and key stakeholders. 
  
  
• Liaise with regulators, consultants and other relevant bodies where required. 
  
  

• Proven experience leading Health & Safety activity, preferably across multiple sites or businesses. 
  
  
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety is essential. 
  
  
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, compliance and audit requirements. 
  
  
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge effectively. 
  
  
• Experience managing and developing teams with a collaborative leadership style.  Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills. 
  
  
• Proven ability to drive improvement and deliver results. 
  
  
• Ability to provide practical, commercially aware Health & Safety advice. 
  
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
