Salary: £20.48 per hour + 55p per hour shift allowancePermanent Rotating Shifts Overtime AvailableWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation in Skelmersdale.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and machine modifications across a range of fast-paced, high-accuracy production equipment.The Role Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and fault findingRespond to breakdowns and minimise production downtimeModify and improve machinery where requiredDiagnose faults and confidently improvise practical repairs when necessaryMaintain equipment ranging from conveyor systems to industry specific production machineryWork closely with the production team to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently About You Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance is essentialCandidates with a strong mechanical or electrical bias will also be consideredIdeally NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalentExperience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be beneficialPrint industry experience would be advantageous but is not essentialExperience with milling and lathe work would be preferredPLC and hydraulics experience is not essentialA practical, hands-on approach with the ability to find solutions and work with what is available Full training will be provided on the site-specific machinery.Shift Pattern 06 00 / 14 00, rotating ..... full job details .....
