Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for a new opportunity from November 2026?

We''re working with a successful 11-16 boys'' academy in Trafford that is looking for a passionate English Teacher to join its team on a four-day-per-week basis as maternity cover. You''ll teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, through to GCSE, with Fridays free.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a calm, purposeful school where high expectations, positive relationships and a rich wider curriculum are at the heart of school life.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Teach engaging and challenging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Inspire students through your enthusiasm, creativity and passion for English
• Create a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to achieve their potential
• Build strong relationships with students and contribute positively to the wider school community
• Work as part of a supportive and motivated teaching team
• Teach four days per week - Monday to Thursday, with no Friday teaching commitment

What We''re Looking For

To be successful in this English Teacher role, you will need:

• QTS or QTLS
• Recent experience teaching KS3 English, supported by professional references
• The ability to teach English Language and Literature through to GCSE
• A confident and engaging approach to classroom management
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, with Overseas Police Clearances where applicable
• Professional references and a full employment/education history on your CV, including explanations for any employment gaps
• The legal right to work in the UK without restrictions
