As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide individual support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and build positive relationships within the school environment.Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and additional needs. Support pupils to access and engage with classroom learning. Assist with individual learning activities and differentiated work. Support communication, social development, confidence and independence. Help manage behaviour using appropriate strategies and school guidance. Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils. Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support individual pupil needs.Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting is required. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable. Good understanding of individual learning needs and appropriate support strategies. Patient, calm and consistent approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Able to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
