Role OverviewThe Transport Router supports the Transport Team in planning and coordinating the logistics of waste collection and transportation activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient daily operations, accurate record-keeping, and high levels of customer satisfaction, while maintaining compliance with health and safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule and coordinate daily waste collection routes to ensure efficient operationsLiaise with drivers to communicate instructions, monitor progress, and resolve operational issues as they ariseHandle customer enquiries related to transport services in a professional and timely mannerPromote a positive health and safety culture by following procedures and participating in training and briefingsAssist with weighbridge operations, including accurate documentation and waste transfer notesRepresent the organisation professionally across all business activitiesQualifications / ExperiencePrevious experience in transportation or logistics (experience within waste management is desirable but not essential)Strong organisational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills, particularly when responding to unexpected operational challengesValid UK driving licenceLocation and Employment DetailsBased at a site in the Colchester areaFull-time, permanent positionMonday to Friday, with potential for overtime
