Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Painter for a temporary assignment based in South Shields. This role involves working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting maintenance and refurbishment works across residential and public sector properties. Overview: This is a hands-on role carrying out painting and decorating tasks, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements. Main Duties: Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming prior to painting Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and external surfaces Carry out work in void and occupied properties Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times Essential Criteria: NVQ 2 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent Experience working within social housing or public sector environments preferred Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards Full UK driving licence DBS clearance is required If your skills match the above criteria, please apply with your up-to-date CV.
