Field Service Engineer | Inspection & Packaging Machinery

Location: Home-based, anywhere from Manchester down to Reading
Salary: Up to -45,000 DOE | -60,000+ OTE
Package: Company car, paid overtime and benefits

We''re working with an international manufacturer of inspection and quality-control equipment used across the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

This hands-on role involves installing, servicing and repairing advanced X-ray, vision and product inspection systems at customer sites.

The Role

• Install and commission inspection equipment on production and packaging lines.

• Carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and electrical/mechanical fault-finding.

• Set up and optimise equipment to maintain inspection accuracy and minimise downtime.

• Provide technical support, operator guidance and service reports.

What We''re Looking For

• Engineering experience with inspection systems, X-ray equipment, metal detection or packaging machinery.

• Strong electrical/electronic fault-finding skills and mechanical capability.

• A confident, customer-focused engineer who can work independently.

• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel extensively.

Extensive travel is a key part of this position, with customer visits and changes to schedules often required at short notice.
