This is a client-facing role offering the opportunity to manage trust compliance, oversee IHT returns and trust accounts, and lead a team of junior staff. You will provide technical trust advice, support Private Client Partners, and play a key role in modernising trust processes and ensuring high-quality client service. You will work closely with Partners and colleagues while mentoring junior team members within a collaborative and forward-thinking private client and trust team. Key Responsibilities Monitor all trusts to ensure IHT compliance, including ten-yearly charges, exit charges, and chargeable lifetime transfers. Prepare IHT returns for trusts and lifetime transfers. Prepare annual trust accounts for UK and offshore trusts, including charitable trusts. Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance and quality assurance. Train, supervise, and mentor junior staff, including conducting annual appraisals. Manage departmental workload throughout the compliance season. Provide technical trust support and advice to colleagues and Partners. Work with Private Client Partners to modernise and improve trust processes.
