This role is pivotal to the secure and structured decommissioning of legacy MPLS equipment, ensuring all removals are meticulously planned, audited, and executed with zero disruption to operational services.As Network Decommissioning Engineer you ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of network decommissioning tasks, from conducting pre-removal audits and planning through to the safe physical extraction of routers, switches, cabling, and other redundant assets. With a strong technical foundation in networking, you ll be comfortable navigating legacy environments, understanding dependencies, and coordinating closely with architects, engineers, and site leads to ensure service continuity throughout the process.This contract involves extensive travel across sites, working independently and hands-on in field conditions.
