Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Daily Rate: -95 to -115.95

A very friendly two-form entry primary school in Bethnal Green is seeking a confident, motivated and capable Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced class teachers in a supportive and collaborative school environment, helping pupils prepare for the important transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with their Year 6 learning and SATs preparation, ensuring they feel confident and well-prepared.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning in a Year 6 classroom

Provide targeted support in Maths and English, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis

Assist with SATs preparation, including booster sessions and revision activities

Help maintain a focused and positive learning environment

Work closely with class teachers to support pupils of varying abilities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Strong personal skills in Maths and English

Experience supporting pupils with SATs preparation

Confident and effective behaviour management skills

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

A proactive, confident and supportive approach to learning
