Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical
Our client, a leading player in the nuclear sector, is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical for a contract position. Reporting to the Commissioning Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering assigned commissioning tasks safely and effectively, in line with industry standards and process requirements. This role specifically targets individuals with experience in nuclear in-cell handler testing and requires SC Clearance. 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern also. Key Responsibilities: Executing arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording, and assessing the results of commissioning tests affecting safetyDelivering the commissioning work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and cost-effective mannerEnsuring a proactive and balanced approach to safety (nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental) to optimise safety during commissioningReviewing commissioning progress and performance, taking corrective actions as necessaryManaging day-to-day liaison with personnel to obtain necessary permissions and minimise project impactReviewing commissioning test resultsEnsuring input to other project processes such as design, HAZOP, risk, contract, estimating, and knowledge management Job Requirements: Experience in nuclear mechanical systems commissioningMinimum HNC/HND in an engineering-related subject or equivalentExperience in nuclear commissioningKnowledge of project management, preferably as an APM memberCapability in calculat
