Senior Systems Engineer - Software Up to £60,000 Dorset Permanent An opportunity is available for a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to complex engineering projects involving software-based systems. This is a Systems Engineering position rather than a software development role. You will help define system requirements and technical solutions, consider how different parts of a system work together, and support the activities needed to confirm that the complete solution performs as intended. Working with technical teams and external stakeholders, you will contribute across the engineering lifecycle, from early design through integration and testing to ongoing support. The work is carried out in a safety- and quality-conscious environment. Occasional travel may be required, and applicants must be eligible to obtain the security clearance required for the position. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design, integration and ongoing support of complex software-based systems. Develop, review and maintain system requirements, ensuring they are clear, achievable and traceable. Help define system structures and how hardware, software and other elements interact.
