A positive attitude towards caring and proven experience in care are essential. Key Responsibilities (Domiciliary Care Worker) Provide high-quality personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care. Support with safe moving and handling, using equipment where required. Prompt or administer medication in line with care plans and company policies. Assist with meal preparation, hydration and nutrition. Support service users with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and shopping. Offer companionship, emotional support and encouragement to maintain independence and wellbeing. Support service users to access the community, appointments and social activities as required. Accurately record and update care notes, including any changes in needs or risks. Communicate effectively with office staff, families and other professionals to ensure consistent, person-centred care. Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and infection control procedures.
