The Opportunity Our client, a global leader in data centre solutions, is seeking an experienced HV Authorised Shift Engineer to join their high-performing team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a mission-critical data centre environment supporting high-profile banking and enterprise clients. You will play a key role in maintaining operational resilience, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance across critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Role Overview As part of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and fault response of high-voltage systems and associated plant equipment. Working a structured continental shift pattern, you will help safeguard uptime within a high-stakes, zero-tolerance environment where precision and accountability are essential. Key Responsibilities Electrical and Critical SystemsOperate and maintain HV electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and standby generators.Fault-find and manage single-phase and three-phase distribution systems.Carry out safe switching operations in line with approved procedures and Authorised Person responsibilities.Mechanical and Building Services SupportMaintain VRV systems and associated mechanical plant as required.Support the upkeep of critical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and resilience.Compliance and Operational ExcellenceWork safely and effectively within a continental shift patter
