A leading accountancy and advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing team in Newcastle. The tax team has evolved significantly and is in a strong position, with continued investment in both growth and internal development. This is an excellent opportunity to join at an exciting stage and play a key role in the continued expansion of the corporate tax offering across the North East. The role will primarily be based in Newcastle, although candidates based in Durham or Teesside can also be considered, provided they are comfortable travelling into the Newcastle office around 1-2 days per week.

Your new role

You''ll take responsibility for a portfolio of larger and more complex corporate clients, working closely with senior members of the tax team to deliver high-quality corporate tax advice and develop strong client relationships. The position will offer a good mix of technical, advisory and relationship-led work and will suit someone who wants to play an active part in the ongoing development of a growing team. Depending on your level of experience, you''ll also have the opportunity to support and develop more junior members of the team while contributing to wider growth initiatives.

What you''ll need to succeed

You''ll have a strong background in corporate tax, ideally gained within a Big Four, mid-tier or comparable accountancy firm environment.

• Strong UK corporate tax experience
• Experience working with larger, more complex corporate clients
• Good technical corporate tax knowledge
• Confidence managing client relationships and providing tax advice
• Experience gained within a Big Four, mid-tier or similarly complex corporate tax environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA and/or CTA would be advantageous
