Our client is currently seeking an interim Assistant Accountant to join their team based in Romford for a period of 9 months with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a temporary assignment within a supportive and busy finance function. Working closely with the wider finance team, you will provide day-to-day accounting support and help ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. Key responsibilities include: Processing purchase and sales invoices Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable Bank and account reconciliations Posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records Assisting with month-end processes Supporting credit control and resolving account queries Assisting with VAT and other financial reporting Providing general administrative support to the finance team We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident with previous experience in a similar capacity.
