Geotechnical Engineer

First People Solutions is working with a well-established consulting engineer who are looking to grow their team with the addition of a Geotechnical Engineer in Glasgow.

Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a background in the rail industry or heavy civil engineering? Looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to work on exciting projects? If so, we''d love to hear from you.

Job

• Prepare technical drawings, calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and earthworks
• Conduct feasibility studies, ground investigations and design
• Assist in the delivery of the design of geotechnical elements of existing and future projects

What we need from you:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Science or equivalent
• 3-5 years of professional experience working with a design engineering consultancy in the UK
• Chartered (CEng) status or close too
• Relevant experience, knowledge and skill of geotechnical principal and standards
• Knowledge of relevant geotechnical design software
• Full UK driving licence
