You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver change, maintain core systems, and develop new services that support millions of people. You will ensure robust project controls, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain clear governance and reporting. You will communicate effectively with Digital Directors and navigate complex issues that may require board-level decisions. You will work with interneal teams and external suppliers to achieve results and foster a high-performing team culture.Beyond delivery, you will champion continuous learning in project management, digital frameworks, and emerging technologies, mentoring others and helping shape standards across the wider delivery community.Responsibilities
Lead across multiple impactful digital projects with cross-functional teams.Ensure robust project controls, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain governance and reporting.Communicate effectively with Digital Directors and navigate issues that may require board-level decisions.Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to achieve results; foster a high-performing team culture and coach others to improve flow, quality, and ownership.Champion continuous learning in project management, digital frameworks, and emerging technologies; mentor others and help shape standards.Qualifications and assessment
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?History of taking full responsibility for defining, documenting and delivering large-scale complex projects, preferably transformation, with internal and external suppliers.Experience establishing new teams and agile processes related to project deliverables and business as usual tasks.Experience managing complex external dependencies requiring planning and prioritisation to maintain pace and quality of delivery.Clear, honest, enthusiastic communication to build trust; ability to explain complex technical issues simply and influence senior decisions.Ability to identify and pursue development opportunities for yourself and your team to enhance delivery outcomes.Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager responsible for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of large-scale complex projects, preferably transformation, with internal and external suppliers.Details, Wages and Perks

One of our digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield (location is flexible to be most convenient).Hybrid Working:
Hybrid model with time spent at home and in a hub.Pay:
Up to £68,205.Pension:
Civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%.Holidays:
26 days rising to 31 days plus public holidays. Up to 3 extra flexi-time days per month.Benefits:
