Health and Safety Officer Competitive Salary circa 40,000+ Early Friday FinishA Health and Safety Officer opportunity has become available within a high-performing engineering and manufacturing business. Working closely with the QHSE Manager, this role will lead day-to-day Health and Safety activity across the business, driving workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations, supported by an external Health and Safety Consultant. The position will focus on promoting a positive, zero-harm safety culture and working closely with internal and external stakeholders across health, safety, and environment.Health and Safety Officer responsibilities include -Conducting and reviewing risk assessments and implementing workplace control measuresDelivering HandS training, including inductions, contractor briefings, and toolbox talksManaging contractor safety, RAMS reviews, and permit-to-work processesMaintaining COSHH assessments, MSDS records, and hazardous substance controlsInvestigating incidents and near misses, including RIDDOR reporting and corrective actionsManaging PPE distribution, inspections, and safe-use trainingHealth and Safety Officer desirable skills and experience -Ideally NEBOSH qualified with experience in a manufacturing or industrial Health and Safety roleConfident delivering training and communicating procedures across all levels of the businessExposure to COSHH, risk assessment, and contractor management processesChemical or hazardous environment
