Industrial Cleaner
Location: Wilton, Teesside
Contract: Temporary, 1 weeks work minimum

The Opportunity
Wolviston Management Services are supporting our client with the recruitment of Workshop Operatives / Industrial Cleaners to assist with a deep clean, organisation and general improvement programme across their workshops at Wilton.

This is a hands-on role involving industrial cleaning, general labouring, organisation and basic maintenance activities. No specialist trade background is required; however, we are looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals who are comfortable carrying out physical work and can be trusted to work carefully around high-value equipment.

The successful candidates will be provided with a task list and will be expected to work largely independently, taking ownership of completing activities safely and to a good standard.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:

• Deep cleaning workshop areas, bays and surrounding workspaces.
• Cleaning down large machinery and equipment while safely isolated and non-operational.
• Sweeping, shovelling and disposing of waste into designated skips.
• General cleaning using detergents, mops and other cleaning equipment.
• Carrying out basic touch-up painting within workshop and office areas.
• Moving, organising and lining up storage items.
• Sorting through workshop equipment and materials.
• Palletising and boxing equipment and items as required.
• Safely disposing of unwanted materials in designated areas.
• Moving items using a manual pallet truck.
• Keeping workshop areas clean, organised and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Following site safety procedures and completing tasks from an agreed work list.

About You
We''re looking for someone who:

• Holds a valid Safety Passport suitable for working on the Wilton site.
• Has their own transport or a reliable means of getting to Wilton.
• Is comfortable carrying out cleaning, labouring and other general non-skilled duties.
• Is physically capable of undertaking a practical, hands-on role.
• Is careful and conscientious when working around expensive machinery and equipment.
• Is dependable, punctual and takes pride in completing work properly.
• Can follow instructions and work largely unsupervised from a task list.
• Has a strong awareness of health and safety within an industrial environment.
• Is willing to turn their hand to a variety of general workshop duties.
