SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant
Academics are supporting a partnership school (located in Stoke-on-Trent) that are requiring an experienced SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant (May 2026-July 2026). Our partnership school is known for its nurturing and inspiring presence invigorated from both their learners and staff. The school''s curriculum is a full-filled educational experience which enables life skills and confidence to continuously grow.ResponsibilitiesProviding high quality 1:1 and/or small group support/interventions for learners within Early Years who have SEN/SEMH needs.Support learners to develop essential skills, build social connections, and engage actively in learning.Implement tailored strategies to promote emotional regulation, resilience, and independence.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external agencies when needed.Assisting the class teacher in adapting classroom activities and resources.Managing behaviour and engaging learners with their own learning.The ability to create and foster an inclusive and safe learning environment for all of the learners within your class and the wider school community.For this opportunity, applicants who apply:Will have previous experience working with learners within Early Years with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs.Must be calm, resilient, and to be able to remain consistent under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
