Precision Machining Technician

Location: Taunton, UK
Salary: -13.4114.41 p/h
Hours: 35 hours per week, standard day shifts

We are currently recruiting for a Precision Machining Technician to join a specialist manufacturing environment, producing high-quality precision components.

The role will involve mounting, machining, cleaning and inspecting components, following engineering drawings and work instructions and working to high Health & Safety and COSHH standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out machining and associated production processes
• Mount and prepare components for machining
• Clean and finish precision components
• Inspect and check completed work
• Follow engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Operate production and machining equipment safely
• Maintain high standards of quality, Health & Safety and COSHH compliance
• Work effectively as part of a small production team

Requirements:

• Previous machining or machine shop experience preferred
• Engineering qualification at Level 2 or 3 preferred
• Experience with CNC, milling, turning, grinding or similar machining processes would be advantageous
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Recent engineering graduates/apprentices and candidates coming out of college will also be considered
