Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence and Security sector, is now looking to recruit an Environmental Test Technician on a contract basis, to be based in Marlow. This role is crucial for ensuring that products meet stringent environmental specifications and standards within the defence industry.Key Responsibilities:Set up environmental tests with various test equipment and facilities such as Network Analysers, Data Loggers, Climatic Chambers, and Vibration Shakers (training provided).Execute de-risk, development, and qualification testing, ensuring adherence to agreed deadlines and maintaining test standards.Conduct production Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) testing according to relevant requirements.Oversee environmental testing at subcontract test houses as needed.Identify and mitigate potential risks related to specific requirements, equipment performance, or personnel safety.Job Requirements:Proven track record in performing environmental tests to customer requirements, including producing test reports and technical data.Preferably educated to HNC/HND level in a related discipline; however, Level 4 NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 or similar is acceptable.Experience in a test environment.Hands-on experience with workshop and test equipment.Knowledge of using electromagnetic shaker systems, climatic chambers, tensile test machines, network analysers, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and frequency counters.Laboratory or field testing experience with aerospace products is ideal
