Warehouse Operative/Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Slough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Salary: £27,184.83 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics and distribution company for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy warehouse team with full VNA Crane training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating warehouse material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently, following all company procedures. Including Forklift and VNA Crane.
  
  
• Safely unload inbound deliveries and move stock to designated storage and holding areas.
  
  
• Ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are correct and not damaged or broken, reporting any quality issues to shift supervisor.
  
  
• Pick, prepare and loading customers’ orders, ensuring that all products are correct and the right quantities are dispatched.
  
  
• Carry out order picking efficiently to meet customer service and productivity targets.
  
  
• Move stock from storage and holding areas onto vehicles.
  
  
• Use RF scanning equipment for picking, receiving and loading activities.
  
  
• Assist with stock takes and physical inventory counts.
  
  
• Complete daily equipment checks and inspections in line with company procedures.
  
  
• Report any equipment faults or performance issues promptly to shift supervisors.
  
  

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
  
  
• Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  
  
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  
  
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  
  
• A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude.
