Assistant Accountant
Are you currently working within an accounts payable or finance administration role? Do you have strong attention to detail, with confidence using Xero and Excel? And are you looking for a part-time finance role that can work around school hours or other commitments? Our client is a well-established, growing business based in Banbury, and they are looking to recruit a Part-Time Assistant Accountant to support their day-to-day finance function. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on purchase ledger and reconciliations, with light credit control responsibilities where required. The business can offer excellent flexibility around working hours and days, meaning this role could suit someone looking for two full days per week, four half days, or something in between. You will need to be a strong team player, comfortable working in a busy environment and supporting colleagues across the wider finance team when needed. Key Responsibilities: Accurately entering supplier invoices into Xero Supporting the accounts payable process from start to finish Preparing payment runs, producing remittances and managing supplier queries Managing a shared finance inbox and responding to internal and external queries Posting and reconciling bank transactions, including PayPal, Stripe and GoCardless Posting and reconciling intercompany transactions Supporting customer account maintenance and statements Assisting with light credit control where required Investigating and resolving invoice
