We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our residential children''s home team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to providing outstanding care, promoting positive outcomes, and supporting young people to achieve their full potential. 
 
About the Role  
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing therapeutic, child-centred care to children and young people within a residential setting. You will lead shifts, support and mentor staff, ensure high standards of care, and help create a safe, nurturing, and homely environment where young people can thrive.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and provide day-to-day guidance and support to residential care staff. 
• Support children and young people with daily routines, education, activities, appointments, and life skills development. 
• Promote positive behaviour and implement appropriate boundaries and support strategies. 
• Safeguard and protect children and young people, ensuring their welfare remains the highest priority.
• Develop, implement, and review care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans. 
• Build effective relationships with social workers, education teams, therapists, families, and other professionals.
• Complete high-quality documentation, reports, and records in line with regulatory requirements. 
• Supervise, mentor, and support the development of junior team members.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing home environment.
• Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager as required, including covering management duties in their absence.

What We''re Looking For Essential  
? NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People''s Workforce, Residential Childcare, or equivalent.
? Experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviours.
? Previous experience leading shifts within a residential childcare setting.
? Experience supervising and supporting care staff.
? Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
? Ability to remain calm, resilient, and professional in challenging situations. 
 
Desirable  
? Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care.
? Experience supporting children with Autism, mental health needs, or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
? Knowledge of childcare legislation and children''s home regulations.
? Full UK Driving Licence.
