Vacancy Summary Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: Location: Cambridgeshire Start Date: ASAP Salary: c£55k-£60k basic plus competitive package inc car allowance, pension, bonus etc. Company and Project: A privately owned Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk are looking to grow their Commercial team due to new projects secured. The business works across the Mixed-Use, Commercial, Education and Healthcare sectors. The successful candidate will be joining the business to work on a project c£7m Commercial project based near Bury St Edmunds. With a clear structure and programme in place for their employees personal development, this role is a very good opportunity for a surveyor to lead their own projects in a collaborative team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to; measurement and valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts . Desirable Experience: Minimum 5 years+ experience as an QS working for a Main Contractor or large developer/house builder. Good communication skills. Use of JCT or NEC Contracts is essential.
