The school provides therapeutic education for pupils with complex SEMH and SEND needs, many of whom have experienced trauma and significant adversity. Small classes, a relationship-led approach and close collaboration between teaching and therapeutic staff create a highly supportive environment in which pupils can make meaningful academic and personal progress.The Role The successful candidate will join the primary team, and be working with pupils aged 5 12 across the provision. Duties will include: Planning and delivering engaging lessons Establishing a calm, structured and positive learning environment Assessing and tracking pupil progress Supporting pupils'' academic, social and emotional development Working collaboratively with teaching and therapeutic colleagues Contributing to the wider life of the school There is a collaborative approach to teaching, including team teaching with younger pupils, alongside specialist teaching in subjects including PE, science, computing, art, design technology and cooking.Therapists work alongside teaching staff within the school, with ongoing professional development and training in therapeutic approaches.
