Our client are a specialist civil engineering subcontractor working on highways and civils projects, and are looking for a dedicated Safety Advisor to join their team covering the Southern region. The Role: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices. Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Provide expert guidance and support to project teams, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture. Lead and participate in incident investigations. Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to site staff and subcontractors. Work closely with project and site managers to integrate safety procedures into daily operations. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Act as a key point of contact for external audits, regulatory inspections, and client safety requirements. Encourage a collaborative approach to safety, ensuring teams understand the importance of compliance. Requirements: NEBOSH qualified. Highways experience is highly desirable.
