This is a pivotal role, responsible for driving the county''s place, economic development, planning, housing delivery, and asset management agendas.About the Role As Service Director Place Shaping, you will:Strategically drive delivery of the Council''s corporate priorities through placemaking, ensuring alignment with the new Shropshire Plan, capital strategy, and improvement plans.Lead and integrate the functions of Economic Growth and Development, Strategic Partnerships, Property and Assets, Planning and Development Management, Place Planning, and Cornovii Developments.Secure external funding (e.g., Towns Fund, Levelling Up Fund, Shared Prosperity Fund) to support place shaping initiatives.Foster partnerships with developers, government agencies, and community stakeholders.Oversee the council''s property portfolio and asset management, ensuring value and supporting service delivery.Lead the Planning Division, including developme
