Principal Designer / CDM Advisor
to support their expanding health and safety team. This is a great opportunity for a health and safety professional with strong CDM experience looking to work on a diverse range of exciting projects across residential, commercial, leisure, and education sectors.Key Responsibilities:
Act as Principal Designer or CDM Advisor across a range of client projectsSupport internal teams with HandS/CDM expertise across the project lifecyclePrepare Pre-Construction Information and review Construction Phase PlansIssue F10 notifications and maintain accurate project documentationAssist designers in completing Designer Risk Assessments and compile Design Risk RegistersLead the resolution of design-related health and safety issuesAttend design team and project progress meetingsConduct regular site audits and inspectionsCompile and issue Health and Safety Files at project handoverAdvise clients and contractors on safe practices during design, construction, and maintenance phasesRequirements and Qualifications:
NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (additional specialisms such as Fire/Environmental advantageous)Minimum TechIOSH, with up-to-date CPD (CMIOSH/IIRSM desirable)APS membership (IMaPS or AaPS preferred)Minimum 3 years'' experience in construction health and safetyDemonstrated experience in a Principal Designer, CDM Advisor or Designer roleStrong knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations, Approved Documents, ACOPs, and best practiceAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsConfident leading meetings and influencing duty holdersBackground in construction or in-depth understanding of traditional and modern building techniquesExperience working on high-risk buildings (HRBs)Planning and Organisation:
