Overview of the Role

As Retail Manager / Store Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, leading a small sales team and ensuring the highest standards of customer service, presentation and sales performance.

You will be a hands-on manager who leads by example, motivates the team and creates a welcoming and professional retail environment.

You will play a key role in driving sales, developing customer relationships, managing daily operations and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing, motivating and developing a small retail sales team.

- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store.

- Driving sales performance and achieving business targets.

- Delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term customer relationships.

- Welcoming customers and understanding their individual requirements.

- Providing product advice and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.

- Managing quotations, orders, payments and deliveries.

- Ensuring the store is presented to the highest possible standard.

- Managing staff rotas, appointments and daily operational requirements.

- Handling customer queries, complaints and after-sales issues professionally.

- Maintaining accurate customer records and updating the CRM system.

- Identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve store performance.

Skills & Experience

Essential and desirable experience:

- Previous experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Manager or similar.

- Proven experience managing and motivating a team.

- A strong commercial awareness with a track record of driving sales.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Confident building relationships with customers and colleagues.

- Strong organisational and time management skills.

- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced retail environment.

- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
