Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant available to start work immediately and looking for a full-time opportunity with long-term career prospects?

We are currently recruiting a reliable, patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Royston, Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is ready to start a new role as soon as possible.

The position is offered on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis, with the potential to secure a permanent position and access specialist training to support your professional development.

Please note: This is a full-time position only. Applicants must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:40pm. You must also have your own transport or reliable commuting arrangements, as the school is most accessible by car.

The Role
You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and build independence within a safe and supportive school environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support to children with SEND.
Helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities.
Encouraging communication, confidence and independence.
Supporting individual learning needs and education plans.
Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
Maintaining a patient, consistent and supportive approach.

Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must have:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND - essential.
GCSEs, including good literacy and numeracy skills.
A patient, reliable and committed approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
Excellent attendance and a professional attitude.
Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
Own transport or reliable daily commuting arrangements.
