An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join The Yorkshire Clinic as the In-Patient Team Lead for the in-patient physiotherapy services.You would be joining the team at a time of development in how we deliver our in-patient services.The Yorkshire Clinic has a vision to grow acuity and bring in new services. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our clinical leads and consultants to shape the future of In-patient Physiotherapy services.

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and flexible in their approach, and who is able to demonstrate excellent clinical leadership in the assessment and management of elective surgical patients.

Main duties of the jobProvide supportive and inspirational leadership to the in-patient physiotherapy teamDevelop and maintain excellent relationships with patients, consultants and other key stakeholdersParticipate in delivery of care being a role model to ensure highest standards of practice are maintainedManage the governance agenda ensuring policy compliance, audit and action planning, a continuous cycle of improvementDrive the growth and development of the in-patient services.Be an integral part of the Hospital Leadership Team participating in strategy development and driving plans for achievement and successBe responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating clinical case work within in-patient services.Provide a key role in partnership working with patients, carers, the MDT, and wider statutory services.Take responsibility for staff and student training and development.Continually review patient outcomes and pathways to drive innovation and safe practice.

Person specificationRecent experience of leadership /management roleWard experience is essential.Recent, comprehensive and relevant experience working in a senior physiotherapy role.Experience of multidisciplinary guideline development, implementation and auditSpecialist level of knowledge and clinical reasoning skills to support expert clinical practice in a wide range of specialities i.e. respiratory.An understanding of Clinical Governance, the CSP’s Quality Assurance Standards and the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and EthicsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in leading teams in driving quality outcomes.Ability to review outcome data and drive changes for improvement.The ability to plan, organise, prioritise and delegate.A commitment to support individuals and assist as necessary with activities of daily living including personal care/therapy, social, emotional, and recreational needs and aspirations.The ability to make decisions and use your initiative.

Qualifications:HCPC registeredDegree or equivalent pre-registration award in physiotherapyRecent post graduate courses in Leadership/management

Desirable criteriaMember of the Chartered Society of PhysiotherapyCertificate in Managing Health Services or equivalentMSc or PhD in a relevant subjectPost-graduate Diploma in Advanced PracticeAcute experience- Respiratory, Rehab, Neuro, MSK.
