Direct message the job poster from Newcastle Building SocietyAs Head of Strategy, you will lead the development and delivery of our corporate strategy. You will also lead the development and delivery of our approach to Responsible Business. This is a key leadership role, working closely with the CEO, Board, and Executive Team to generate strategic insight that is used to shape the direction of the Group, including our Newcastle Strategic Solutions Limited (NSSL) and Newcastle Financial Advice Limited (NFAL) subsidiaries, and enable the amplification of the sustainable value our purpose-led strategy generates for our members, clients, colleagues, and the communities we serve across the North East, North West and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive the Society’s Responsible Business strategy alongside building and inspiring a high-performing strategy team.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of the Group’s corporate strategy.

Lead the development and delivery of the Society’s approach to Responsible Business.

Collaborate with the CEO, Board, and Executive Team to generate strategic insight used to shape the Group’s direction and value creation for members, clients, colleagues, and communities.

Shape and drive the Society’s Responsible Business strategy and build a high-performing strategy team.

Qualifications

Proven track record of delivery in a senior strategic role within financial services or consultancy.

Experience in a purpose-led mutual/company or customer-focused organisation is preferred.

Strong understanding of the mortgage and savings retail and wholesale markets; knowledge of ESG strategy, frameworks and UK reporting obligations.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including Board members and senior executives.
