Fitter - Double Days A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Fitter. Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the Fitter will be responsible for: Assemble and fit mechanical parts and machined components, following engineering drawings and CAD detail Assemble and fit pneumatic and controls/sensor systems to assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components Install and integrate assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components Support installation of full assembly cells during commissioning phases and also at customer when required Installation: Interpreting drawings and CAD data to support fitting of robots, guarding, fixtures, services cabinets and trunking. Including laying where applicable communications and pneumatic/electrical cabling Support when required fitting activities including dis-assembly and re-assembly of pipework and steels Participate in training sessions and development programs as and when required Any other duties as reasonably requested. The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship or NVQ/City and Guilds and proven experience in a similar role.
